Seamus Scanlon Retires from Inter County Football
Seamus Scanlon today announced his retirement from inter County football. The Currow Club man played at every age with Kerry making his senior Championship debut with The Kingdom V Limerick in 2002.
Seamus, publicity shy, and a central player for Kerry for many years always took great pride in donning the Green and Gold. He understood the honour it was to represent the Kingdom and always did so with honest hard work and great pride.
The Chairman of Kerry County Committee Patrick O’Sullivan, today, thanked Seamus sincerely for all his hard work and years of Commitment to Kerry at every age. On behalf of All Kingdom supporters he wished Seamus well in the future and wished him great success with his Club Currow and Divisional side St Kieran’s.
