Rules and Regulations Governing Garvey’s Senior Football Championship 

Top two teams in each Group qualify for the Quarter-Finals where the top team in each Group is drawn against a second placed team from another Group.

Note – Venues for Quarter-Finals will be neutral

Teams from same Group cannot meet in the Quarter-Final Round.

Quarter Finals = Open draw (but subject to above conditions) with Extra Time & Winner on the Day if required.

Semi-Finals = Open draw & Neutral venue with Extra Time

Note if teams finish level after extra time in the Semi-Final – match will go to a Replay on the following weekend.

Any such replay will be Result on the Day and will not cause date for SFC Final to be put back.

Final – Neutral Venue with Replay is sides finish level after normal time.

Points/Tie-Breakers – Group Stage

In the event of teams finishing on equal points in the Groups, the tie shall be decided by the following means and in the order specified as per rule;

(i) Where two teams only are involved – the outcome of the meeting of the two teams in the group

(ii) Score difference – subtracting the total Scores against from the total Scores for;

(iii) Highest Total Score For;

(iv) Highest Total Goals For;

(v) A Play-Off
